IMPORTANT:

PLEASE PLAY ON FULL SCREEN. The UI doesn’t scale properly with screen size so the game must be played in full screen in order to experience the game.

Gameplay:

The alchemist uses a point and click style of combat where the player character will throw a projectile (potion) in the direction of the curser. 

The objective of the game is to clear all the rooms on the map. Each room can be cleared by completing a secret objective such as interacting with specific items in the room. The objectives change from room to room. In a final version of the game the map would be generated however this demo uses a set map.  

In the absence of a proper death screen the game will simply pause on player death. If you with to continue playing after death please refer to the debug controls for how to heal and unpause the game.

The game is designed to be difficult with enemies constantly respawning until the room objective is complete and health being a very limited resource so don’t be afraid to struggle.


Controls:
movement: WASD / arrow keys
attack: left click
dash: right click
craft potion: c
interact: e
heal: q (hold)
switch active potion: 1, 2, 3

Debug/Cheat controls:
full heal: h
pause/unpause: shift + p
clear room: shift + e

Hey! I tried the game. Like the style and creepy music. Didn't get too far, couldnt figure out combat, and seemed to freeze the game when you die. Tried a few times but couldn't get past the first room :) so i threw in the towel there.
